The residence encompasses two containers with a large common space that links the rocky landscape and the mountain views. The interior contains areas for working and sleeping while the central space is assigned for living and dining. The dwelling uses solar power to generate electricity. Its green roofs and solar orientation were planned to allow maximum cooling.

Now, with many kinds of containers built up; it can be a home or commercial even a mall, CUBOPARK is Penang’s first container pop-up mall, a hotspot for the arts and creative culture, retail, foods, and as an exhibition space within a sprawling 80,000sf open landscape.

The objective was to create an edgy space with an organic and raw vibe, with an emphasis on preserving natural greenery. The entire park is constructed from used and recycled containers that are used as outlet containers, stalls, tables and more, with metal elements adding to the overall raw, organic, industrial look. Natural foliage, solid wood panels, stones, and timbre pieces create beautiful walkways and builds up the perfect atmosphere.
